Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of UnifiWave LLC's business internet and managed network services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Purpose

UnifiWave provides business-grade internet and managed WiFi services. This policy ensures all customers can enjoy reliable, high-quality connectivity by prohibiting activities that may harm the network, other users, or violate applicable law.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use UnifiWave services to:

  • Illegal Activity: Engage in any activity that violates federal, state, or local law, including but not limited to fraud, trafficking, or distribution of illegal content.
  • Network Abuse: Attempt to disrupt, degrade, or gain unauthorized access to any network, system, or service — including DDoS attacks, port scanning, or packet spoofing.
  • Spam & Malware: Send unsolicited bulk email, distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious software.
  • Copyright Infringement: Distribute copyrighted material without authorization in violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
  • Resale: Resell, redistribute, or share your internet connection with third parties outside your business premises without written authorization from UnifiWave.
  • Excessive Use: Use the service in a manner that disproportionately impacts network performance for other customers (applies to shared infrastructure only).
  • Unauthorized Devices: Connect devices that interfere with network equipment or introduce security vulnerabilities (e.g., unauthorized access points, open proxies).

3. Network Management

UnifiWave reserves the right to manage its network to maintain quality of service for all customers. This may include:

  • Traffic prioritization during periods of congestion
  • Blocking of known malicious traffic or compromised devices
  • Rate limiting in response to abnormal usage patterns
  • Temporary suspension of service to protect network integrity

We are committed to transparency and do not engage in discriminatory throttling of lawful content or services.

4. Guest Network Usage

If your plan includes a guest WiFi network, you are responsible for ensuring a reasonable use policy is displayed to guest users via the captive portal. UnifiWave provides a default acceptable use notice, which you may customize.

5. Security Responsibility

While UnifiWave monitors and manages your network infrastructure, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining security on your own devices and endpoints
  • Keeping login credentials confidential
  • Reporting suspected security incidents promptly
  • Not bypassing or tampering with security configurations set by UnifiWave

6. DMCA Compliance

UnifiWave complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If we receive a valid DMCA notice regarding activity on your connection, we will notify you and may be required to take action as prescribed by law. Repeated violations may result in service termination.

7. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

  • A written warning with a request to correct the activity
  • Temporary suspension of service
  • Permanent termination of service
  • Reporting to law enforcement where required

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the network or comply with law.

8. Reporting Violations

To report a suspected violation of this AUP, contact us:

  • Email: [email protected]

9. Changes

UnifiWave may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
